My boyfriend took this picture last year with a Yashika Mat 124G camera. We were in a tiny village in the center of Italy, Castelbasso, attending to an Art Festival filled with concerts and exhibitions. It was beautiful all around but then he stopped and took a picture of this statue, so sad and magnificent.
I used it today as inspiration to make the pattern you see below. I like to use watercolours to create new patterns, it’s kind of fast! I decided to use yellow on white as a contrast to the picture’s original black & white.
